Proof ss savage pre fit price and performance

I am thinking about ordering a Proof Research 24” 1-8 twist 6mm Creedmoor barrel for my Origin. It is the SS savage pre fit. Looks to be priced right at $450. I was wondering if anyone has shot one of these and how they perform. It seems like a good deal for a cut rifled barrel.

With muzzle threaded that seems like a quite good value.

I’d be more interested if they were longer.

I believe the John Hancock 6 Creedmoor is also 24”. The reason Josh gave at one time was that the 24” shot the eld match ammo better than the 26”. Yes the barrel is threaded 5/8-24.

I could certainly understand the 24” working well with a popular factory ammo.

I personally shoot very little factory ammo so that’s definitely not a selling point for me.

Regardless I do think that seems like a pretty good value.
