Is Accurate mag or MPA our only choices? Bought a ruger, 223 mag....what a piece of shit. I may keep it for range use, single loading. It jams shit at a steep angle.

So are there any other options??

Magpul needs to make a 223 yesterday.

Remove 1/4" from the front of the Ruger feed lips and they work pretty good.

pretty sure I removed more than that, lol

You basically only need the feed lips to hold from the shoulder back.

anymore and the rounds will nose dive.

I actually wanted to try the MDT mags, but the 223's are always in short supply or OOS

Were there two versions of the AI mags for 223? I have heard of some that were bad about splitting, and others that run great. I have a pair of AI mags, and a pair of MDT 223 mags. All of them run great. The AI mags will hold 11.... ;)

My understanding is the older .223 mags were better, but a lot of people had issues with the newer ones. I never tried the older ones, but mine wouldn’t feed .223 or .223 AI reliably.

I've got some of the original AICS mags from 10+ years ago and they've worked. My MDT mags also work fine.
I keep trying to convince a manufacturer to make a 20-round double-stack, single-feed .223 mag for AICS-compatible bottom metal, but no takers.

It's a niche market, which has gotten saturated and raised the barrier to entry. The ROI (I'd wager) isn't there for Magpul, when you consider all the other stuff they make.

I think if anyone could make it work great, MDT would based off how well their 10/12 rd steel mags run.
