Gen Kelly - Currently on Boston radio giving an interview.

Doing a good thing, promoting Fisher House.

No question Gen. Kelly has sacrificed much for the country, very much.

Anyway, when asked why he enlisted in the USMC he tells the story that it was draft era, everyone was registered "annd everyone back than went in the military unless 'you had bone spurs or something'"

Why am I so out of line with this class of USMC leadership?

Neller makes no secret of his distaste for Trump at public speaking events, Mattis was resistant to Trumps policy, Kelly is a bitter man with TDS.

    WTF?

About to comment on Iran should be good.

Interesting interview - Ive been wanting to hear from him.

Kelly - Trumps Iran actions are good as long as Dunford is CJCS is there to work with Trump (Im suspect of Dunford now). Any further action must include Congress input (ie get nothing done).

A Chris Kyle team mate and enlisted Marine involved with Fisher House also on radio. Both mentioned Iran was actively involved with Killing Americans in IQ/AFG.

Kelly asked if IQ war was a mistake - "based on knowledge of time there was a valid reason". I dont disagree with the General but he fell for the wrong reason - reason should have been failure to comply with Gulf War I cease fire - UN should have had to fight the war. When the UN failed in its obligations exposing its uselessness the organization should have been kicked out of New York.

He operates on the principle "Is this good for America". States Washington is too invested in "Will this get me elected" rather than "Is this good for the Country".

Kelly - Says Military works on merit not personal ambition. Shocked that in political world ambition and party are the matters of importance.

Kelly - Heart broken by how visceral people hate each other on the disagreements with each other - its unAmerican. Weird he doesnt recognize where the hate is coming from.

Kelly - I served at the direction of the President "and it just happened to be Trump" "I dont work for you Mr Trump, I work for the President".

Kelly - Believes in press, shocked by their reporting rumors, expects well sourced press but that is not the Washington political press.

Kelly - On "Fake News" - Doesnt think media makes up fake news but does believe they will write stories on single source, sometimes rumor.

Kelly - "Lets assume all about Trump is true" journalists should rise above and write objectively. Believes media is made of respectable people but they dont get multiple sources (Because they have an agenda General).

Kelly - "Always a grain of truth in there somewhere".

Kelly - Thinks media is doing best to their ability.

Kelly - Never heard of Breitbart until he went to the White House?

Kelly - Not a political guy, doesnt talk politics, purposefully reads news that does not agree with his outlook.

Kelly - "Just because opinions differ, does not make you a bad person".......perhaps he should speak to the Dems.

Kelly - "Any succesful platoon country etc is not based on diversity but it is based on unity" - gets that right, has he told the Dems? Immigrants need to become American culturally. Armed forces erodes those differences and replaces with a common culture.

Could this generation do D Day? (Dumb question for the interviewer to ask a guy that lost a son)

Kelly - Country is different but despite criticism of Millenials he knows in combat they exceeded the ability of average Americans and ran toward the danger. The average American is great as he has ever been we just have questionable leadership that has made politics a blood sport.

Kelly - Mil, LEO, Fire Fighter are at one end of the admired spectrum and Congress is at the low end of that spectrum.

Kelly America would step up for another D Day.

Kelly - Greatest country on planet. Not perfect but reason why everyone wants to come here. Wishes folks in Washington would get on board.

Kelly - Immigration has to be fixed, border has to be fixed, military needs to be fixed but Congress cant agree on anything.

Everything you say is true. Let me just add this thought.

Free men do not need to march in lockstep. If you look at Democrat presidents, everyone associated with them is absolutely synchronized with their ideology. True Americans are willing to disagree robustly on issues of import, express themselves and let the marketplace of ideas decide...

Fisher House is a big project for our VFW post. Our members are mostly retired and dealing with the VA; and Fisher house puts up their families during treatment and hospitalization.

One of our Vets (or a family member, not sure) just had a total lung transplant, and is on outpatient care. He's staying at Fisher house and the medics come to him to give him his outpatient care. I don't know the exact numbers associated with our post's annual donation, but it's in the four figures range. We're not rich, but we know where the priorities reside.

Another one of our Vets just passed with Metastatic Lung/Brain Cancer, very fast, very devastating. Fisher house got/gets top praise from him and his family.

With the Socialists, Communists, and other Leftists; there's always a political officer/snitch present at all times, regardless of whether they are announced or even visible. Communist educators make their charges report on their families; and not just in other countries, either. The American Communist Revolution is a lot further along than most 'normal' folks recognize.

Hence the lockstep; it's protective camouflage.

You're looking in the wrong place AJ....RI is the taint between the assholes in MA and the cunts in CT (which are really just NYC commuters)!

It does have some great sailing, but not really the place for rifles considering some on ArmsList will shoot 3 miles and the round will be out of the state.

I've got family all over the east coast, I can't disparage people for living somewhere that is required to make a living. It's the family who identify with some of the politics prevalent in the area that piss me off.

My family, especially Grandad Nik and my Dad and his brothers, hated two things more than anyone could imagine...a visceral, deep hatred

Nazis - They grew up during WWII in Greece. My Grandad showed quite a few to hell
Communists/Socialists - The reason my Dad left the old country in 58.

Even though they settled in Boston....they didn't fit in too well

Grew up in DE and middle NJ. The history, scenery and hunting in cornfields was fun so it had that going for it. Draw a circle around NYC/DC/Philly for a fence and let it all implode. Might get rid of some of the politics in the areas adjacent to it.

    There are good people everywhere.

One of my closest friends lives part of the time in NYC and part of the time on Long Island on the water. He recently told all of his street that he was going to put flags down the entire length of the street. Drilled into the telephone poles and paid for all of the flags....no one complained. Struck me as odd as few people live there full time.

He is from Boston, next to Philly they are the most Bitter people in our country..plus he is realizing he was a soldier in the Naval police force when he coulda done better by joining the Army.. a wasted life on all fronts.

He would have been a marginal airman or an average soldier so he chose to be an excellent marine.
