Gunsmithing DBM inlet - what others fit?

I have both bottom metals sitting here it looks like the shape is different . The surgeon sides are straighter so it would seem the PTG would fit with a gap but the nose and trigger guard radius's are also different just by looking.

Thanks

I was reading about DBM inletting on @LongRifles Inc. website/online store and Mr Dixon covers the Surgeon pretty well. Exactly the same as you describe, wider throughout.

Will not pursue this avenue any further.

thanks again

The big advantage being wider if someone does a bad job inletting for the m5 shape you could recut to the larger inlet . Provided they didnt cut too far off.
Most factory stocks are cut for the PTG or M5 shape.
