I've got a remington 700 sa with a hogue overmolded stock. It has a hinged floor plate. Does anybody make a good conversion to DBM? I've seen one from PT&G, but I've read too many bad reviews of the company.

Wyatts is the only one I know of making an actual drop in, for the BDL footprint. If it were me, I wouldn't put any money into the Hogue stock.

Agreed. The Hogue that comes n a lot of 700s is pretty crap. Hogue sells one with a full aluminum spine in the handguard that's supposed to be better, but I'm not sure I have ever seen someone actually buy one. I wouldn't put any time and effort into messing with a DBM in the Hogue.

So I checked the price of the wyatt's DBM. $250ish. The orxy is $400 plus $35 for one mag. The reason I'm asking about the hogue is because it is for a heavy barrel. The barrel on my rifle is a hunting profile so it is already fully free floated. Thanks for the replies.

I was going to say to grab that hogue stock, one hand on each end of it, and then throw it in the dumpster.
But if you are otherwise pleased with it and just want the DBM then the link easy_e shared from legacy sports is probably as far as I would go with it.
