Impact action "cock on"

So the 15 supposed to be less contact on sear and cocking piece coreect?
Might be a bit picky but clarification never hurts. The contact between them will remain the same in regard to the hanger. The hanger doesnt effect how much is contact there is between the sear and the pin, it only controls where that contact occurs along the horizontal length of the action. And logically falling in line with the where you either increase or decrease the total length of pin retention and thus firing pin fall/travel.

If you have a hanger that is too long you are essentially stopping that pins forward travel early (keeping it pulled to the rear) and only adding excess force to close it. If you have one too short then you are not stopping it soon enough and you are handicapping the amount of firing pin fall you will have. Its a bit of a goldie locks porridge situation: too much, too little, just right.

To control how much contact there is you would want to change sears itself like with the bix and andy for a different vertical height in relation to the action so that you change the actual amount of contact. Not an option in the triggertech.

If you are coming from a 0 and you bought a +15 then I would say yes, you will be creating even more cock on close. Im not super familiar with the impact itself though so maybe a 0 is full and you actually bought a -15? In that case it would be less. I cant really tell you and I cant locate a product page for impact trigger hangers themselves for me to try and look that info up.

Flip it around to get +-15?

my impact came with 2...a 0 and a 15

i cant remember if its labeled as - or +, been too long since i looked, but im pretty sure it moved the trigger forward, towards the bolt face

i dont think the hangers are reversible...i know they have a safety cutout on one side, if you dont have a safety, you might be able to flip it, but not sure
