The contact between them will remain the same in regard to the hanger. The hanger doesnt effect how
much is contact there is between the sear and the pin, it only controls
where that contact occurs along the horizontal length of the action. And logically falling in line with the
where you either increase or decrease the total length of pin retention.
If you have a hanger that is too long you are essentially stopping that pins forward travel early (keeping it pulled to the rear) and only adding excess force to close it. If you have one too short then you are not stopping it soon enough and you are handicapping the amount of firing pin fall you will have. Its a bit of a goldie locks porridge situation: too much, too little, just right.

To control how
much contact there is you would want to change sears itself like with the bix and andy for a different vertical height in relation to the action so that you change the actual amount of contact. Not an option in the triggertech.
