This is where we are based on the failure of the govt to follow the laws.

Why should any of us follow the law when the govt decides to pick and choose which laws it will enforce?

When the AGs start saying they will not be enforcing certain laws - as Eric Holder did and as the current Suffolk county DA in MA is doing - it is only expected that non enforcement will lead to an increase in the behavior.

I don't agree with it either, I think a person's opinion should be their own but the point that I'm trying to make here in this thread is that words have actions and that's just the world we live in today.

If you think that public chat forms give you some sort of wall to hide behind and people can't find out who you are, you should just walk away and in fact probably shouldn't own a firearm if you're that ignorant.

How can you spout off about free speech, and then blatantly threaten one of our members? Here kitty kitty..... come kitty kitty..... personally, I'd take that quite seriously. Especially if you're not the one to back it up. Instead you threaten to use the real hate groups in this country to persecute...... get a fucking grip dude. This was a "discussion" amongst adults until you made it real.

Nobody thinks that and I don’t think anyone here is hiding. The same argument could be made that Antifa, LGBTQ or whatever and whoever should hold their speech against gunowners and Trump voters as well. Threatening messages can come from anyone and it’s not cool no matter who it’s from. People keep it up, no matter what group you are with and there is going to be a clash. It’s funny because I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and none of this crap was an issue. Why is that. I’m not taking up for one group or another but curbing speech because it hurt someone’s feelings is dangerous. Using large groups who’s feelings were hurt to put the hammer down is even more dangerous.

I was wondering the same thing but chose to ignore it, just like anyone else can do with speech they don’t agree with. That’s the difference between the 80’s and now. People used to have a backbone and there weren’t large groups running around threatening people that showed their ignorance. There are always going to be people out there that are hateful to other groups, that’s just reality. I for one get along and try to understand all groups. I was never a cliquish person in high school or anywhere for that matter. I get along with all types of people from all kinds of backgrounds and feel like I’m a better person for it. I know all kinds of people. I may not agree with some of their lifestyle choices but I’m not going to change who I am because of who they are either. I treat everyone the same. Somewhere between the 80’s and now something has shifted in society and it’s not for the better despite what any social justice warrior might think. Regardless, using groups to persecute those who express free speech isn’t much different than the gestapo kicking in your doors and forcing you to comply with their demands. The irony is that many of these groups are becoming exactly what they are supposedly fighting against.

I wont. This is what were fighting for. Stand in front of me, and threaten me, see how that goes. It ain't the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog. I know none of you personally, I know that, but were banded together for the same cause: therefore we are brothers, and I fight FOR mine. Spineless keyboard commandos need to be reminded of that. Pretty sure releasing someone's personal information, for the purpose of putting them in danger, is a crime in itself.....

And no I was not threading one of our own members, it was a rhetorical remark and as stated above I was just making a point that if you think your words on a public chat forum can't come back to bite you in the ass you're a fucking idiot. Me personally I could give two shits what anybody says about any community it's their choice to make that decision.

This whole thread is about the violations/restrictions being committed against law-abiding citizens in reference to the new ATF guidelines.

Probably so. And that’s been my point all along. Who gets to draw the line and where? Why does one groups rights outweigh another because when talking about using the law as a tool is exactly what is happening, one group gets trampled while the other gets victory using the arm of the gov to suppress. That’s not how it should be and it’s super dangerous. Everyone should have equal rights. Don’t like it? Let it roll off of your back and roll on. Getting the gov involved never bodes well for anyone, it just affords them more power.

I agree; the premise of this thread is to collectively come to conclusion on a poorly written law, in order for all of us to remain within said UNCONSTITUTIONAL law
