Rifle Scopes XRS2

I've got two of them, and I'd gladly take them over anything else in the price range - and quite a few scopes that cost more. Unfortunately you missed out on the deals before Father's day, but you might be able to pick one up nearly new in box on the exchange for pretty cheap.

I just got my XRS2 to the range yesterday for the first time. I came from an Athlon Argos BTR. So the difference was impressive to say the least. I got mine during the bushnell sale a few weeks back, at the time GAP had them on sale with a free kestrel. At that point, it was an easy choice. I was going to get a razor gen2 4.5-27. I got behind a razor and a Leupold mk5 for a bit at the range a few months back and those were my top picks for something in that price range. I was literally waiting for the razor gen2 mil/mil to become available through my distributor of choice. Then I saw the bushnell deal. Honestly, I'm not sure the bushnell gives up anything to the other 2. The mk5 is lighter, but unless you want the TMR, it gets expensive quick. The Razor has the ebr7c, but its heavy. The glass is pretty comparable in the ones I've looked through. The only issue is mirage, since I'm in the southwest desert, but that isnt the fault of any scope. The turrets on the bushell are good, probably not as good as the razor imho, but better than the mk5hd. I like the zero stop, the locking dipoter adjust, the locking windage, and the elevation doesnt have a lock or anything if that matters to you.

No matter what though, if you miss, it's not the fault of the scope. I dinged a full size ipsc steel target at 872 yards yesterday on my first shot after getting it zeroed and the zero stop set at 100 yards. The turrets seem accurate, though I didnt do a tracking test. I went from 872 to 250 to 650 to 400 to 750 to 675 to 872 again and back to 100 and everything was totally fine.

Yea, don't hesitate. I was going to get my rzr there, and the leupold mil deals are also good. But the bushnell is a solid option. If you're in southern California, you can get behind my rifle and try out the scope.

Yep, EV pricing makes them even better deals. The biggest trick is catching them in stock.
I did notice the in stock issue to. I only live a hour and a half from Kansas City. So I was planning on driving to the Bushnell Outlet Store to check out the scope. Also see what they have in inventory and if they would cut me same deal on price at the store.

Not sure about them cutting you a deal on it at the outlet, but that's definitely a good way to go check them out.

The only negative that I can find is the slop in the turrets. There is a half click slop in the turrets. My LRHSI and my LRTSI are much tighter with very little slop. I have a Razor gen II and it does have much better turrets. It also has a larger field of view, but almost all Vortex scopes do compared to others. Glass is pretty close between the two. I have not mounted my XRS II yet so I can’t comment on function.

Oh and I sold my Razors ;)
Yours is way better than mine. Mine literally has 1/2 click play. Your example is about like my lrtsi and Lrhsi. I would be happy with that.
When I dial it up, the marker line lines up perfectly between the .1 mil markers. If I turn it back slightly it indexes correctly.

That’s a bummer and not indicative of what I’ve seen on multiple XRS IIs (probably 4-5). Maybe give Bushnell a call.

Mine doesnt show 1000 yards on the parralax either. It goes from 700yds to infinity. Not that it matters at all. Mine is illuminated so i guess Bushnell uses different markings between the two.

What was the deciding factor in that decision? I like the slightly thicker reticle as I use my scope on the bottom end as well.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the Razors. But I’m a huge fan of Bushnells zero mechanism. Just easier and gives me more peace of mind than set screws.

Knocking off a couple ounces in weight was nice too.

In my experience, the one thing the Razor has over the XRS II is a more forgiving eye box.
