Only if you can get it for less than the charge for them. You can get a 5-25 gen 2 for 100 bucks more and its 3x better than the gen 1.

I wouldnt pay over 400 for a gen 1 pst.

If you can get a new FFP one in the $500 range I think they’re an ok deal.
I’ve seen them all over for that in recent months.
There have been some screaming deals on new scopes though, like the recent Ares BTR deal.
It may be worth waiting for a deal on something newer.
