Freaking love the 1812 Overture. I miss going to see the Houston symphony play it as their finale on July 4th concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Cannons set up with wired charges. Would love to see it performed with real gun crews.

But there are enough differences to make V a great stand alone. V is obviously political whereas The Count is purely personal.
