6.5 SAUM shorties?

Anyone running a 16-20” 6.5 SAUM? If so can you share Velocity/accuracy/loads etc?

I want to run a shorter barrel and suppressed

Thinking that playing with some faster burning powders is probably a must ....

Be careful with faster burning powders. These could cause quite an unsafe pressure spike. I doubt you will see performance improvement over H1000 unless you pair the faster powder with a lighter bullet.

I'm in the same boat, but not going as short . I bought a 30" 6.5 WSM and Chad is in the middle of chopping it down to 23.5" . It'll be suppressed exclusively. I'm going to use 124 grain Hammer Bullets in it , speaking to the bullet mfg he expects 3300+ fps.

It's going to Colorado in Nov for deer , it should be a friggin later beam at reasonable hunting distances , sub 800 yards. If it's a win or fail I'll be sure to report my results.
