Went to range to shoot paper and practice. I had a case ruptured in side wall close to base. I believe it’s the piece of brass not the load. No ejected marks or any other pressure sign . Anyone else have this happen? That piece of brass has been fired twice, this is the third firing at same load.

I’m only able to reference my own mistakes. Case head separation, when happened to me, was at 3rd firing. I’ve only seen it circumferentially, vs longitudinally like what you have. I’d bisect a few of the most fired and see what’s inside and maybe measure. I managed to mess up my sizing by a few mills knowing how to do it right. Worth checking your work. May be just a bad case. Just saw the headstamp.. Is this a bolt action rifle or something like a garand?

To me it looks like you are either setting it back too far when sizing or the chamber is messed up allowing a bulge. If it’s an m1, could be something beyond my scope involving timing of operation. Case separation will happen with a reasonable load if you set back a few mills further than needed. Looking at the case, there are circumferential indicators at the ends of the rupture. If that’s it, all of your twice fired brass that was sized this way is suspect.

Neck sized with a collet die from Lee

I saw two on the first firing (223), sub-max load w/ Win brass, 75gr HDY HPBT-M, same box Midway bulk packed. Long time proven barrel/chamber. After loading several thousand 223 cases over nearly two decades, I guess it was statistically due.

Retired the two cases, the rest fired fine. Moved on.

No idea why; but if I can find them, I may try using the new borescope to look inside.
