Yessir that is the inletting. He removed some material to allow clearance for the front of a trigger hanger to fit. There is sufficient clearance in the back.
Of course, it can fit a non-trigger hanger 700 footprint action as well.
Work was done by Keith at Phoenix Custom Rifles. He's here on the hide too, does great work.
Thanks. I am asking because I bought a used Gen2 folder and I am also having trouble fitting the Jewell trigger into the trigger well. The trigger seems like it is wider and/or deeper than the trigger well. I am looking for way to either file down the trigger or mod the trigger well...
Oh in that case I suggest contacting KRG, they have awesome customer suppirt and gave me info and pictures regarding what other customers have done to inlet their chassis for specific components etc...
Roger that, I have replied. Yes KRG states that this chassis can accept AW mags, as long as the action you use can take AW mags. To be sure though, its always a good idea to contact the manufacturer of the action, and the chassis, to confirm AW mag compatibility.
