I was recently talking to a friend about the .22 TCM rifle. He told me his son bought one and it could only group about 3”. He returned it and they sent another. It did the same.

Anybody else have one of these? Any insight into this issue with them. Whether it’s across the board or just two unfortunate rifles?

I don’t own one, but I thought it would be a good “squirrel sniper”.

I just bought a used Rock Island .22 TCM rifle for $175 with a decent 3x9 Nikon Prostaff and it came with 120 rounds of ammo. 80 rounds were the standard .22 TCM and 40 were the .22 TCM 9R ammo which is a shorter oal to fit in standard Glock 9mm mags. At 100 yards the .22 TCM 9R grouped about 2.5 inches but the regular .22 TCM grouped 5 rounds that were all a group that a quarter easily completely covered. Center to center it was about .87 inches. That was earlier today with about an 11 mph crosswind coming in over my right shoulder at about 4 O'clock. This was my first time shooting the rifle. I almost never shoot factory ammo so I went ahead and ordered dies, and new brass. I'm going to try some 50 gn Varmagedon and 45gn V-max bullets. I'll post results once I have them.

I have the 22 TCM rifle. My rifle needed to have the barrel free floated and a trigger job. Factory ammo has never been very good, my 35gr VMax reload at 2900 fps is a tack driver.
That was a great price on a TCM rifle with Nikon scope!
