Timney 2 stage trigger

I wasn’t satisfied with the little bit of creep and sponginess I experienced, not a bad trigger tho.. I moved to Triggertech Specials in both my guns, and I’m very happy with them. If I was you I would take a hard look at the new 2 stage from Triggertech..

I have several Timney Calvin Elite 2-stage triggers and they are great.
I bought most of them used - two were perfect, one has notable creep - I haven't looked up the manual to see if I can adjust this out or not. I also have one that I bought new from Timney and it is fantastic.

I'm a two stage trigger fan.
For comparison I also have a CG Extreme on my Eliseo tube gun and the Timney is a great value at less than half the cost of the CG.
I'd like to try David Tubb's trigger and the new Trigger Tech....I'll get there eventually.

Bottom line - you won't be hindering yourself at all with the Timney. If you don't like it you can always sell it quickly and for a good price on the forum here.

I’ve had, and still have triggers from Timney, Jewell, Bix n’ Andy and Trigger Tech and I can say that the two-stage Calvin Elite is on the rifle I shoot the most and I love it. I wasn’t sure how I’d like a two-stage, then I got it and it quickly became my favorite trigger. I’ve had it at matches where it pissed rain and my rifle got gritty and dirty and it still performed 100% when others had gone down. Solid choice.

Can anyone shed some light as to how to adjust the CE 2 stage trigger pull?

I know it is adjustable, but have not found any good details/photos/videos on how to do the adjustment.

Does anyone have this trigger? It's incredibly smooth but I with I could tighten the travel just a hair between stages.

I wasn't thrilled with my 2 stage timney Calvin elite. It had a lot of creep on the second stage. There are much better options in my opinion. I switched to a Bix n'Andy tacsport, it is night and day different and better. I even like the factory trigger on my Howa better than the timney I had on my bighorn.
