Hello Sir,
I am looking to build a 224 Valkryie for my kids to hunt deer, antelope, etc. with. I am a bolt gun guy so I don't know much about the AR platform. I have several lowers, are you selling everything I would need to have a complete upper? I've read that you need to run a 1-6.5 barrel to be able to accurately shoot the heavy bullets. Do you agree? Most of the shooting will be at 4,000' AMSL.
How did this barrel perform?

I don't have a forearm/handguard, or barrel nut. You wouldn't need those expensive iron sights since you'd probably run a scope to
hunt with.... it shot 1/2 to 3/4" easily with a 1-6 Athlon scope that I still have if you need a scope. I don't think I have any rings though.

I had read that on 90 grain and up you need the 6.5 twist. Unfortunately I already had my 24" heavy Valkyrie barrel. So I built the rifle and have been working on load development. I shoot 600 and 1000 yard electronic targets most of the time. I've loaded 75 grain ELD Match, 80 grain ELD Match, 88 grain ELD Match, 77 grain TSMK, 82 grain Berger and 90 grain smk. The 1:7 24 inch barrel has stabilized each bullet great all sub m.o.a. the 75 grain and 77 grain dropped below supersonic right at 1000 yards but the 80's and the 90 stayed above 1250fps at 1000 yards.
