So I'm at the range with 6.5 cm. Shooting 147 gr eld, SP Starline brass, 2.89" OAL 40.5 gr of H4350 and everything is fine. I decide to try the same load with 42.0 gr H4350. I have shot 41.5 gr before with no issues. I shoot and it's loud as $hit! My velocity was 2750. My ears are ringing hours later. I saw no significant pressure signs on the brass. There was a very faint ejector mark, but that's all. I wasn't sure what was going on. But I was worried I had went to far, so I quit the load. I've never heard of excessive noise being a sign of excessive pressure, but it still made me nervous. I suppose it's possible my headphones weren't sealed to my head. I went back and shot another group with 40.5 gr (2670 fps). Thoughts?
