I'm not the most ardent hockey fan, nor am I the strongest 'hockey watcher'. But I know a Canadian 'celebrity' when i see one, and I've known of this man for 'some decades now'. For him to lose his job over the outcry of 'people' about his stance on VETERANS is beyond dismal, disgusting, pathetic, and downright inflaming.
The whole point is to RESPECT the VETERANS. All of 'em, standing AND fallen. Everywhere. Not just a Canuckian thing, not a hockey thing at all, and not a North American thing either. We've many ALLIES all over this world, and this respect is for ALL of ya'll.
Anyone implies offense to the premise, or advocates insult towards such, is going to be CALLED OUT. Veterans deserve respect, it's as simple as that. I can't say it any plain'er. And yeah, when a texan makes a derogatory statement along the lines of "he's only a Canuckian so his opinion don't matter....." (or along those lines) yeah that PISSES ME OFF, TOO.
Some of ya'll know me, and those that do,,,, know why.
