Good evening, just wanted to do a quick introduction. I recently picked up my first bolt action rifle, and started getting very interested into the precision rifle world. All I’ve ever really shot was sbr ar’s and handguns but that’s gotten quite boring. After sighting in my new rifle, and finding out how much fun it is seeing how many times I can fit a bullet into the same hole I believe I’m hooked! I came here to get any and all advice I can get on how to become more proficient with my rifle and possibly start completing. So thank you all for your time and knowledge. Former Hoosier here if I could suggest possibly reaching out with your exact location? Meeting people from the Hide with a lot of experience could really accelerate your learning cure....you may find a Hider in your zip code! I did that here and met @Mike Casselton and not only have I made a great friend, but I learn so much every time we shoot it's crazy. Not just shooting mechanics, but all things shooting he's forgotten more this week than I ever 'thought' I knew. I started from scratch like 1st day of school and the learning curve was a lot less daunting. Swimming and golf had already ingrained the absolute necessity of solid fundamentals to reach your best stuff so I was sold! Anywho welcome to the Hide, soak up all ya can I'm like you this is 10x more fun than I 'thought' it was gonna be. It's an itch I have always wanted to scratch and fingers crossed will be stepping out to the maximum range of my caliber soon! I've always had a knack for reading about things and being able to implement them reasonably well, but I'm finding more and more that 'reasonably well' doesn't cut it for ones' best precision at least for me.....that's where having eyes on while shooting has been invaluable.
