Non-binding resolution. It's more of a "this is how we feel" kind of vote.

    Non binding resolution

From the article (emphasis on key words added)

A resolution passed by a special session of parliament said the government should cancel its request for assistance from a U.S.-led coalition.

Parliament resolutions, unlike laws, are non-binding to the government. But this one is likely to be heeded: Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi had earlier called on parliament to end foreign troop presence as soon as possible.

Iran owns a lot of parliament.... possibly thanks go to Obama admin and all that assets that he unfroze and pallets of cash sent over. A $20-30k bribe is a fuck ton over there.

It is a lot like Congress voted to impeach Trump

    DJT is amazing!

Take out a really bad guy, and then be asked to leave Iraq. We have shed too much American blood there, and for what? Let them decide their fate, and the borders based on factors important to them, and their willingness to enforce.

I'm still not tired of winning...

You cannot force freedom on surfs that do not want it. Sooner or later we have to leave and they will get the government that they deserve. Liberty is maintained jealously by those who love it and will sacrifice for it, hence the situation we have here in the homeland.

The problem with leaving is that Iraq becomes even more of an Iranian puppet state, which puts them pretty much bellybutton to asshole with Israel. Otherwise, I'd say fuck 'em and, oh, yeah, reimburse us for all the improvements to your infrastructure.

Were the improvements to infrastructure the selective demolition performed by US armed forces? It hadn't occurred to me until now that we need to be reimbursed for our demolition ordinance. :)

We need to pull out of the M.E., stand with Israel, then flip a BIG middle finger, as we leave. As was said earlier, let them spill their own blood. OH, and we need to close our borders to any person from the M.E., from coming into this country, until they are vetted, Mac

I'm starting to think this was Trump's plan to get us out and fulfill another campaign promise.

And everyone from central and south America.

Sounds good ..... Trump should hold a news converance, making it empathically clear. " Next time a group like Isis / Hamas / or your new Shia ( Shiite ) buddies. What ever name they go by, attempts / or takes over. Your asses are on your own. There will be no aid, no boots on ground, no interdiction on your behave. Any incursion on US allies or interest, your nation becomes a live fire training range, for any new weapons system that need to be real world tested. "
