If you have a Remington, then stick with it, so you can swap parts across platforms.
Did you get all from nss?

What setup do you use to swap barrels leaving in chassisNo. Bought the action a while back and then added everything else pictured. It is a S prefix action.
I also have a LRI blueprinted that I have set up in a 22" 308. 5 min barrel change. Action never leaves chassis.

What do you use to hold action?Ken Farrell 20 moa rail that is short enough not to cover barrel nut. Remove handguard, use barrel nut wrench to remove barrel, unscrew barrel, screw on different barrel, headspace, and tighten. Install handguard. I use the NSS barrel nut wrench.

After thinking about this same question for way too long I just ordered a Bighorn Origin action. It seems to tick all of the right boxes for me. It is a 700 clone so you have lots of stock options, it takes savage small shank barrels, and (best of all) you can easily swap out the bolt head between small, standard and magnum. At $825 it costs a bit more than a trued factory action but you have so much more flexibility. The ARC Nucleus is another very similar option.
So you dont tighten it to tight? My hand on chassis
Alright but the chassis gives you the extra hold that is interesting less tools and work and not have to take it apartIt is vey tight

Where did you go for action?I've built 3 Remage systems and have found all of them to be world class accurate at a fraction of custom rifle costs.
Yeah that would be nice but the money just isnt there for the customsI would go with Curtis. Pre-fits are available and they just announced their 22lr conversion. Swap barrel and bolt and you have a 22lr trainer. Saves you a lot of money from having to buy a complete 22lr trainer.
Also, if you get a Curtis Vector, it comes with a quick change barrel feature that accepts prefits so you could swap barrels to whatever you want at the range.
Trued Remington action. Don't true or even "clean-up" the barrel threads. All my kits have come from Northland Shooting Sports.Where did you go for action?
