Which 223 mag?

Hey guys I've got a minuteman from pva and it's in a envy gen 2, the think its aics cut which 223 mags should work with this combo? Thanks

Never had an issue with MDT 223 mags. Give those a shot.

I have a few MDT mags and didn't have great luck with them. I broke down and bought the Accurate 223 mag which are like $70 or so and it solved my feeding issues. I tried the MDT mags again when I got a 223 barrel and bolt for a CRF action (Mausingfield) and they worked fine. Magpul also just came out with 223 specific mags and they look like they should do well.

I could not get my MDT magazine to lock into a XLR carbon stock. I bought an Accurate magazine and it works perfectly.

Accurate mags worked well for me as well. I really liked being able to modify the magazine to seat 75’s out further.

Side question what twist are you guys running for 223? I'd like to run a 80 smk or something in that range that would be economic compared to Berger 140s in my 6.5x47. What chamber also? Wylde or regular?

If you’re gonna buy accurate mags, look for Ruger scout 223 mags. They are branded Ruger but 100% made by accurate and still stamped accurate as well, just with a Ruger etched base plate. I paid half the price as normal accurate mags.

At least an 8 twist but having a 7 twist would not hurt you either. I have a 26" 9 twist that shoots 75g bullets perfectly.

I would try to get a true 223 chamber. You are not getting anything by going with a Wylde in a bolt gun.

I looked a bit but couldn't find anything except polymer, where did you find them? Thanks that's awesome, I like that rifle to looks handy.

Which bullets are performing good for the money? Hopefully there's some .25 per bullet that could work.

I just shoot 75 grain eldm bullets. Shot them out to 1K with good luck.
