FYI, the skins don't come off. The rest is pretty simple.

Be curious to hear what you find out.

I know that JAE sent the chassis' in more of a stripped down form for Custom Gun Coatings to paint them, as it's not super straight forward from what I understand.

If you are looking for someone to paint your JAE chassis, Branden at Custom Gun Coatings does amazing work and is familiar with JAE's. He did the paint for JAE, and I believe Altus as well, amongst others.

FYI, the skins don't come off. The rest is pretty simple.

Yeah i had it all tore down minus the thumbwheel and cheek riser. Just talked to the guy who used to do their paint for them and he told me he did it with the thumbwheel and riser still attached and that the skins are glued/ bonded in place
