A few months back my father in law picked up a MPR in 6.5 prc. Took it out to sight in and after 7 or 8 shots it wouldn't eject the brass from the chamber. The brass looked fine not over pressure or anything it just quit ejecting. He sends it to them and a few weeks later gets it back after they fixed something they said. He takes it back to shoot and rezero and after a few more shots the bolt starts locking up and having issues ejecting the brass again. So he sends it back and a few weeks later gets a new rifle from them. Did he just get a crap rifle or is Christensen Arm's a hit or miss sort of deal

From what ive read they are hit or miss. Some people are having accuracy issues as well. Read the sticky thread on Christensen arms up top.

I wont gamble 2gs on something like that, as much as i want to like the mpr.

Have a friend who has one, and it shoots lights out. He does good in local PRS events. Seems QC is hit or miss though, as others haven’t had as good of luck. Personally I’d spend a little more, and know I’m getting quality. YMMV.

I have the 16” 308 and it’s an awesome brush rifle and easy in and out of a a stand. Pretty accurate too. The biggest issue these rifles suffer from is the cam for primary extraction isn’t cut properly sometimes. This makes it hard to extract the case unless you lift the bolt hard.

I have an AR from them that shoots well, but I know others have not had the same luck. It seems they are very inconsistent QC wise. The MPR is very light if that is important to you.

I personally won't buy one. I usually build my stuff. In my opinion I can get a nicer rifle for the same money if I buy and assemble myself

My MPR 6.5 creedmoor needs sent back, chamber is so phucked. Lands all the way to neck on one side, proper freebore on other. Idk how you do that poor of a job indicating a barrel prior to cutting. Surprisingly it still shoots 1.5 moa, but I really need send it back soon.
You need to figure a way to take a picture of that and post it.

I could probably take a video through my teslong USB bore cam. I'll see what I can do. I was shocked when I saw it, nothing is beneath Christensen arms! However I've had a few that shot quite well.
I really wantedto buy an MPR with steel barrel, its a great looking rifle with nice features, but with QC like ive been reading about on a $2000 rifle Ill have to pass. Ill take my chances on a $1000 rifle and still have money to get it running right if need be.
