Hello everyone, Austin Kramer here. I am new to the site and have only been shooting long range for a year. I won a remington 700 ADL at a banquet and I am scrapping everything except the action and barrel. I got a vortex pst gen 1 6-24x50 and i want to put a seekins 30moa base and rings on to get the full range of elevation. My question is will low rings work or do i have to go medium ? Thank you in advance for any tips, tricks and advice.

Low Seekins/Vortex rings (30mm tube?). 0.87" (Low) should work. I had a 5-25x50mm PST Gen2 using low rings with Remington Factory Heavy barrel.

Hey Austin, so something I try to teach to my customers is avoid the low, medium, and high comments because each manufacterer has different specs. Typically for a set-up like what you are running I'd go with a set of PMR-30-87 rings from Vortex. They are perfect height what that gun you won!

Thanks! just for my curiosity Im going to try the penny trick to see how accurate it is. But i will defiantly do as you say. I had a feeling i would need the .87 rings
