I just got over an upper respiratory infection that was going around the whole area here pretty aggressively.
So far it looks like I don't have to worry about pneumonia (or at least the doctors say my lungs are clear).
The medical advice both times I went in was pretty much as you said.
Drink lots of fluids, rest, eat well and you should get better, if not, come back and see us.

IT IS NOT. Their medical system is state of the art. Any medical system will be overwhelmed by enough patients. No one knows if this will happen here, but it absolutely can. We have zero excess capacity in our system. That is why everyone is talking about flattening the curve. Hand washing and social distancing. Not panic buying, not sacrificing goats for the end times, just reasonable measures to contain this before it gets out of hand. They didn't do that in Italy until it was too late. We aren't doing that here.
