Can you come up with any evidence for this or any other human disease being man made?

There are many Chinese graduate students and postdocs in American labs simply because they are more willing to work the long hours for little pay that such positions entail. It’s not a plot. Their educational system is better than ours on average (some of this is just due to the cultural values related to academic achievement).
 
Where are you guys getting these numbers? 3.7% and 6% mortality rates? Those number are huge. Are you looking at people over 65 stats or what? If we get to 6% over all its definitely game on! It would be nice to see this philosophy clearly communicated to the American people, because I suspect that most of us will be subject to its effects in one way or another in the coming months.

I'm mentally preparing for the possibility that my kids won't be finishing the school year, and may indeed be staying at home during the day for some or all of the summer.

I’m more inclined to believe the COVID19 virus is a result of China's wet food markets as explained in this video. Stating that “China stole the virus from Canada” may make for a good fictional movie but thats about it, its fictional.

I will agree their education system is more rigorous than ours in the Arts.

They require discipline and performance.

Ours do that as the student specializes but our "general education" is lacking and we don't expect any results or performance........showing up is all it takes in many cases.

Despite our educational failures what we do benefit from is our "opportunity" to make a buck and payments of high reward to those that will work.

This last promotes something that gets lost in translation to China.

All discipline and straight line thinking hampers the creative spirit in the general population.

We are doing our best to beat it out of our citizens, first dumb them real down, than make them dependent.
 
Chinese students and their education system produces people that are very good at memorizing and repeating.

But think about it, they have had a country of sorts for many thousands of years.

The USA like not even 400 depending on how you count.

Talking to a buddy just outside the "containment zone" in New Rochelle - he had no clue it was happening until I texted him from across the country.

Another buddy in upstate tells me the cidiots are on exodus to their neck of the woods and have bought out nearly everything at the local markets and stores.

People's panic buttons are going to fuck this shit up more than the actual bug.

Define for me "presumptive" positive cases in medical terms.

My belief is that would mean no test was given but the symptoms lead one to presume an outcome.

So far I understand MA has one positive, a student that returned from Wuhan and is no healed, and some 3 dozen "presumptive" positive cases.

Everyone wants a taste of that $8.5 billion.

Presumptive positive means a test in a hospital was positive, but it hasn’t been confirmed by repeat testing at the CDC. It means they almost certainly have it. Local testing may actually be more reliable than the CDC.

It’s funny how this thread started out with complete hysteria about Wuhan, the people dropping dead in the street, the crematoriums running 24/7, and now that the virus is out and doing the same thing in other parts of the world, we’ve switched to total denial.
