I tend to be a fairly simple minded fella when judging people as friendlies or hostiles. If you are interfering with people carrying out necessary justice, I am going to automatically assume that you are working for the criminals and is one of them. Period. The only "noncombatants" in a particular engagement are those who are staying the fuck out of the way. If you are going to get involved, even if just to "try and break it up", you are taking sides. Just don't make me think that you are working to benefit the criminal's side, no matter what uniform you wear or what your official 'job title' is...
