MDT ESS chassis cheek height

I was wondering about the adjustable cheek rest on the MDT ESS. Im a full rail guy and was wondering with a 56mm if i would run out of adjustment ton the cheek. Has anyone encountered this? Most MDT users it seems are not the full length rail and use the NV version. This would allow the scope to get lower.. I was just wondering.

Mine is near the top of adjustment. I’m running 56mm optic on the NV rail version and not the full length rail. I run my cheek rest pretty high though, I don’t have a fat face. Lol, Not really sure if that helps.

it does and why I was asking. I worry the cheek will run on out on a full rail due to most 56mm scopes going in 1.5" mounts/rings on a flat rail to clear the rail.

I know that APO was making their own cheek rest for the LUTH AR stocks just for this very issue.

If you run out of adjustment height, you can always put a pad on the comb. Adds height and comfort.

Right. I was wondering if that is what some were actually doing or if this was even an issue at all.
