Yes I am. It's nice up here, but a bit of a ways to any good shooting clubs I have found. There used to be one in Laurens that went to a thousand, but I can't find anything about it still being open. Was called SCOTG or something like that.

Welcome to the Hide! It is my understanding that SCOTG is no longer open to the public. I suspect the closest one to you would be Clinton House. I am across the Boarder in the Great State of Mecklenburg aka Charlotte.

Everything on the calendar so far is leo & .mil, but who knows what will eventually be open.

There is also 700+ in Lexington GA, rumors of a range in Danielsville GA extending to 1,000 and 1,000 in both Ferguson and Burnsville NC.

I shoot everything. I have a public 100 yard range nearby where I can do pistol and tactical rifle type stuff. Really trying to find a good local long range so I can stretch out my 338 lapua and AR-10.

What .338LM do you have? Do you load for it? If so, what does it like?

I've got the RPR and I do OK with 285 ELD-M but just picked up some 300 A-Tip to try.

I use 285 eld-m with US 869 powder. It's a savage 112 MT. Holds just under 1 MOA for me. Would probably do better with a better shooter. Furthest shot made was just under 1700 yards, but took me several shots to get on target, wasn't a first round hit or anything. It also does well with 250 grain match kings loaded by s&b in their match ammo line. Those have gotten really hard for me to find though.

I have never been there myself, but the photos and such look like it is a seriously well-kept place. Unfortunately their website is sadly lacking on any specifics as to their facilities. It states they have a 1000yd range, they do 1 mile about once a month, and they do other pistol, skeet, archery, etc stuff. But zero details as to what they actually have. Like nothing, no number of ranges, lengths, purpose, nothing. At least not that I can find.

Anyway, it looks to be about 1.5 hours away from you, and 2 hours away from me. It is probably the closest to you with that kind of length, and definitely the closest to me. I plan to go check it out sometime this year myself.
