The same judge who gave us standard capacity mags last year just put a preliminary injunction on the ammo debacle.

Us in California now do not need to have a background check when buying ammo and can buy ammo online again.

In the next couple weeks, the same judge is also giving his order on our "assault weapons".... And it looks like he'll be freeing us of this rediculousness too.

    Cheers

Edit: places like targetsports and Brownells are already updating their website restrictions tonight... And I just talked to Jim at Prime, he's already on it too!

Is it just me, or is that not "small" ? :)

    Thanks good news!

Can you actually go out today and purchase a regular capacity magazine? And if so, is there any maximum?

My suspicion is is that he’s attempting to set things up for an appeal to the Supreme Court. If you read the prior opinion it is very well written and basically is structured like the DC court did with respect to forcing DC to either allow open carry or start issuing concealed carrypermits as a legal requirement.

The DC one was so well written I couldn’t believe it… Went back to the Magna Carta and English common law and how we arrived at our law etc.

@SD carpenter where did you hear/ see this?

    It appears true.

There's the court documents for you people who like to read it.

    Thanks bud, already been shopping.

If this is true, maybe people in high places, people that do review the laws, are getting just as tired of all the draconian shit, that Calif. has on the books, that they see a little hope for the future. Maybe, all this c.v.19 plague crap, is starting to bring people to their senses, at least, the one's with any brains. Good luck, Ca. Mac

This same Judge is on a 3 Judge panel that will rule on the magazine restrictions again. Hopefully by the end of the year. Trump has done good work changing the make up of the 9th circuit. Ca might get a lot heavier with all the ammo on the way here. It is rumored Judge Benitez is a Glock fan.

Brownells still shows it has to ship to a authorized dealer.

If it works like the magazine reversal— we have two days to buy all the online ammo we can before it gets shutdown again. Let’s goooo!

One thing that I enjoyed, and terrifies me at the same time, is the judge wrote about people stockpiling ammunition because after going through the hassle and hurdles California forces legal gun owners to go through, buying a lot of ammo just makes more sense than subjecting yourself to the hassle every single time you want to buy one box of 9mm plinking ammo. What terrifies me is the statement from the judge that California will likely see people stockpiling ammo as a "loophole" that must also be closed, because I'm sure he's right. I don't live in California, but Colorado is quickly becoming Cali Jr, and I could see our once red state continue to erode into the blue state we've become as more and more California's liberals pour into Denver and the surrounding areas.

As a NorCal person, way north, this is a good start. Micro stamping should be the next on the list. I can’t buy a pistol that was designed in the last 10 years because of that crap.

So who actually has ammo in stock and is also shipping it to CA.

I ordered 2K of 5.45 x 39 today from SG Ammo. I found several places shipping ammo to CA already:

    United Nations Ammo
    JG Sales
    Lucky Gunner
    Ammoman
    Miwall
    AIM Surplus

I'm sure there are more. The industry was pretty quick withe the mags so I'm sure all of the ammo places for the most part will ship. I got bored at work and sorta looked around but these were all the places I checked because I needed 5.45. They all said they were shipping to CA. Too bad this didn't happen in January when ammo was cheap and plentiful.
