Night Vision Very dim elir3

Bought a elir3 recently, put a battery in it and test with my pvs14. It barely illuminated 20 yards, hell 5 yards. Thought it could have been my battery(titanium ) so i waited till i got home to try other batteries. Other than the titanium which was new, i have only brand new orbtronics that i charged.
Do i have a bad one? Something i am doing wrong? I searched, found nothing about it online

Well, ir filter is out and its still a dimmer than a candle in a 5’x6’ closet with pvs14 on, yes, cap is off the 14 lol. Guess ill contact the luna. Once i click on the dial, it comes on but doesn’t get any brighter as it progresses.

Man, don't go in a closet and turn that thing on. You could permanently blind your self for real and best case scenario is just fry your intensifier tube.

Tonight when it gets dark, make sure to put a fresh battery in the unit. Then go outside and turn it on and do not point it at people or animals.

You have to turn 2 buttons on. The Rheostat Wheel that is mid section increases the power and you also have to press the rear tail cap.

@Jgunner Also, it does not take but a split second pass of the Laser beam across a person or animals eyes to permanently blind them if the beam is focused in and at full power. You need to seriously do some safety studying about Nominal Occular Hazard Distance (NOHD) with Lasers and treat the end of that Luna just as you would a fully loaded rifle. Probably treat it with even more caution, if that is possible.

That is a very dangerous device if not used properly.

I know itll blind you. I know its faulty, its just triple checking. I spoke with Vlad (owner of luna) and another member here.

yes, the button on the back and the attenuator mid body are functioning, but the unit is still extremely weak.

ill treat it like a chambered weapon, my eyesight is all i have left thats worth a damn!

No, he didn’t brief me, i already had preformed tests in the wild with a conclusion. Just wanted to be sure it wasn’t me and prob preformed the test 5x with the filter on. I know if it can’t illuminate a damn tree at 25 yards with the filter on, when their eir3 illuminated to 100 yards, there was an issue.

the closet was a dumb idea IF i had any faith in it working, but more just to show how NOT bright it was. My flasher on my helmet is brighter.
