Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I'm looking for a lightweight hunting rifle to run direct thread with my omega 300.

Well I had the AAC M7 and I could not get it to group under two inches at 50yds. Subsonic handload 220SMK/ 175SMK or factory supersonic I must have tried 10 different combinations with and w/o suppressor and two scopes. Maybe I just had a bad one but I was fed up and dumped it.

I also had the AAC version and thought it was one of my more fun guns. And probably close to the top of my list (rifle wise) of sellers remorse.

Looks like it might be like anything else. Some like it, some don't.

I keep telling myself to pick up a Kimber Adirondack to replace it with.

I had the Remington Model 7 Threaded/Kuiu Edition in .308 and overall I really liked the gun. The trigger was shit but it was reliable, fed smoothly, and it was accurate enough for what it was. I was able to get some sub-MOA groups at 100 but generally it was more like 1.5" but I think the heavy 6 pound trigger had more to do with that than anything. I wouldn't hesitate to get one again and slap a LPVO on it to have as general purpose bolt gun.

Have that rifle and put a timney in it. Good stuff. Would really like a better stock though.

The way it came from Remington, I felt that the stock was adequate for what I was doing with it but if I'd kept it I definitely would've swapped into something like a B&C or a laminate stock.

I have model 7s, but not in 300. I can however recommend the Ruger American Ranch in that caliber. It’s what I ended up with when I was looking for the same thing as you are. It’s light, accurate and inexpensive. Ive taken several deer suppressed with subs and supers.

I would give the AR a glance. The Seekins 9” upper with the long handguard is a great shooter.

Craddock puts out accurate stuff too. The AAC uppers are hit and miss.

Was also just looking for one yesterday. Really hoped Tikka had one but they don't. I'm most likely just going to end up building one personally. Seems like most companies that had one discontinued them.

Thanks for the replies! I have a 300 AR but I’m looking for something to carry while hunting. I’m hoping this rifle shoots well. If it does I will be looking for one in 308. I have a Vortex 3-15 Razor LH that will end up on this.
