I cannot seem to find anywhere that allows me to true my MV in the 4DOF app? Am I missing something? Is this possible?

If you're looking under "Favorites"..................top right portion of the screen, there's an "Edit Rifle Info" button. click that. you'll see the slide to adjust velocity. when you exit out, just be sure to select "save".

If you're under "General Calculator", it's the upper left portion of screen is "Edit Variables" in red. click that and then you'll see the slide to adjust velocity.

Don't mean to hijack but what are the differences in the 2 different modes that the app offers?
I really don't know the answer to that. to me it seems as if "favorites" is a location that actually saves the "profile" to pull up quickly at any time you want to look at it.

Now, I do know that under "favorites", you can look at either 4DOF or BC calculator........... the BC calculator gives you the ability to "create" bullets that are not in 4DOF's library of bullets. And because of this, you can "true up" BC................ now you can duplicate a bullet in the library and still have that ability to true BC

or at least this is my 3rd grade level evaluation. I hope somebody corrects me if i'm wrong.

I may be wrong, but idk if ive ever had to true my MV with 4dof. I seem to always input what my labradar says and its gucci. Barely move the AFF to line up the long range stuff and its been money. No saying some wont need to but it has been one of the closest to being correct off that bat that ive used. Like mentioned, edit rifle info, move the MV up or down to line up your corrections for the 500-600 and youre done.

That was going to be my next question...do you tweak your mv or aff to make your correction line up? Does it matter? Also I dont have anyway to get a baseline mv to tweak.
    Sorry for these noob questions

I have always had to true my my MV even with the Hornady 4dof app and factory eldm ammo. The rifle, barrel, barrel length, all contribute to this I believe. It was always small mv changes 10-20 fps and then nuts on.

I believe aff like bc will have little effect 600 yard and in, if you have real dope at 100y increments out to 1000 yards it's easy to play with these at home. I don't even use my magnetospeed anymore, it doesn't matter 4dof, strelok, ballistic arc,ab all need lied to some a little, some a lot. From what I have read and experienced once you are loved up on a curve with the correct env and rifle setup it does travel well regardless of the app or tool.
