Ok so we have a SWFA SS 5-20x50 HD MIL/MIL Mil-Quad Reticle. Couple of years old. Sits on .308 shooting 168gr SMK under 43.7 IMR 4064. This is a recent development. No issues prior to two weeks ago. When looking through the eyepiece, it appears to have a second unmagnified image appearing in the 11:00 appx 2MIL up and 2MIL left of center dot. It is too uniform to be point defect. No apparent damage to obj or eyepiece lenses. See below for a out of scale representation of what I'm seeing

That's an odd problem that you are facing. My guess would be that one of the lenses in the scope might have shifted, and is causing the the image to be reflected or duplicated making it visible internally. The silver lining to this is that SWFA is great about their warranty, and I'm sure that they will get it fixed or swapped out for you without a problem.

I'd contact them and explain your problem. Try and get a picture looking through the scope to show us if you can. They've been great to work with before! I wouldn't be surprised at all if they'd send you a brand new scope after returning your current one.
