Guy and gals I'm looking to get a Tikka T3x SS 6.5 creedmoor 24" barreled action. Since I'm going to swap the stock for a MDT or maybe another chassis I figured why not just get a barreled action with out the stock and put that money towards a better scope. I have searched with no luck. Has anyone been able to get a Tikka t3x barreled action by itself. Or has everyone had to buy a complete rifle and just dump the stock?

I found a new complete Tikka 6.5 SS t3x for 700. I'm thinking that's as good as a deal I might get.
Can you imagine the killing Tikka would make if they pulled actions that sampled as true/square off the line and sold them for like $550? I bet people would spend the money just to avoid dealing with the hassle of pulling and binning parts or trying to resell the bits not needed/wanted.
Looks like you’re going get stuck with a stock you don’t want. I’d get the t3 varmint with the heavy barrel in 6.5cm

No it's for the LITE. I want it for hunting. I probably wont try and hunt anything past 500 yards just to make sure it has enough power to put the animal down.
Cheap factory rifles ship with a stock shaped object attached as plastic shipping packaging...

I was just curious if you wanted a light barrel contour as most people tend to gravitate to heavier profiles with chassis rifles.
For a light weight goal then it is understandable.
Can't speak of current prices, but right before pandemic I bought my new Stainless Tikka T3X Lite in 6.5 Creedmoor for $599. Blued version was cheaper yet.
Got mine from grab-a-gun via their quote system.
Sold the bottom plastic and stock already for ~$60, and I'm about to pull the unfired barrel. Figured I could get around ~$100 easy for that.
Putting stainless action/trigger at $440ish.

What would you suggest? I'd like to use it for hunting however I would also like to use it for shooting targets at 1,000 yards. I'm wondering if I should not get a lite at that point? Since I'm getting a chassis for it it may increase weight anyhow. Which tikka you think would be best ?

Looks like they don't have the "Request offer" button active anymore on most models. But it looks like typical Stainless T3X lites are up to the $650ish range. Change most likely due to pandemic buying
I'm travelling that road myself. I won't say it was an "impulse" purchase, necessarily, but in the process of acquiring a T3x Lite S/S from the PX here @ $625. I wanted an action with a magnum bolt face and that was more palatable than spending $1500+ for an action and a good trigger. That $900 savings can get me a stock and a prefit, or very nearly, without even recouping anything on bits and pieces.
Did you list the stock here? I'm torn on the barrel now...I envisioned it as a hunting/target rig with more punch than the CM family of cases, with better performance at range than my -06. I was thinking hard about 7mm SAUM...however, as it's a 7mm RM...it'll do nicely as a hunting rig as is, even if not optimal. It won't be something I want to spend a ton of time behind at the range though, I suspect.
I’d say check out the defacto barreled action from ultimatum, but it’s a little pricey.

I’d say the defacto looks like it’s priced pretty well for what you may receive. Talked to them last week and timeline for delivery is still end of June. I preordered a .223 at the start of February, feels like I’m waiting on a tax stamp.
