I work in a nursing home. CNAs no-show every year when tax returns go out. Its dang near impossible to get them to show up right now between the .gov payments and COVID fear. We’re lucky if 30% show up. Administrator was calling offering cash to show up last Saturday...no takers. Even administrative staff and nursing don’t want extra shifts. I’m PT, but I was there on Saturday, wiping butts, making overtime to support my shooting habit 😆

Well providing for yourself and your family is a good start.

If you want to suck that .gov titty go for it, but can I have your guns, home, and stuff or is it already spoken for by your masters?

Buddy is a SR. mechanic at a large dealership.

A few JR. mechanics were furloughed and are making more money from unemployment (plus the extra china-virus money) than from work.

Many do not want to go back.

Call them back, document their refusal and then fire them. They then lose everything.

It isn't really a choice is it, unless they changed the rules off unemployment, when they are told to come back, unemployment should be cut off.

On one hand I can see the appeal, I would have every one of my rifles dialed in to a T with the amount of range and reloading time I would have available. However I was deemed essential so I have to settle for range trips after work.

In all seriousness if you were stuck in a shit job you hated making $10 an hour and now you are suddenly making $20 to sit at home and do whatever you want would you want to go back to work?

I was made whole almost to the dollar by the fed unemployment addition, yet I am volunteering to go back next week as I just can't make myself stay home and hide! Sure, it's going to cost me more to go to work, but at least I'm earning my freight.

I just don't get how the work ethic and sense of pride in what you do disappeared in the last couple generations....

Other than vacation I only missed 4 days of work in my life. I was a workaholic and thought weekends were too long. But there was a goal of building a business and keeping it going. If I was working for some company in a dead end job doing widget work. I would quit. I don't know how people can do that.
When private business is in competition with the government. Something is fucked up!!
Get the government back in it's role.

I'll gladly go back when/if my employer calls me back or I find comparable employment.

I'm not making more on unemployment and if you count the fact that I'm now paying *$1200* a month for health insurance, have no disability, and no 401K match I'm getting fucked. I'm sure people who were working jobs that don't provide a living wage are liking this but I'm raring to go back to work.
