I have a few Tac OPs rifles and they are all great. The one that actually get used the most is the Green Hornet. It's funny I never took any pictures of it. Doesn't look at nice as it once did as it rides in the back of a UTV. Also, I have a Tango .260 and never took any pictures of that one either. I have a Delta 6.5x55 (the very first rifle I ordered from Mike R.). I had an Echo 51, however after getting my Tango .260 I sold it. The reason for this is I like the ergos on the Tango better. I have a Tango 51 on order now. Require pics below.

My first TacOps rifle was an X-ray 66 with a TacOps can. It just took one to get me hooked. My son is left-handed, so Mike built him a LH Tango 51 with a can. I’ve never seen a test target like the one from that rifle. Mike was excited when he called me about it.

Next was the Green Hornet; probably the most fun rifle I’ve ever owned.

Mike finally talked me into the Tac-70. If for no other reason than just the way it looks, it may be my favorite.

My daughter got the Delta-51 with a can and a TacOps brake for Christmas last year. She cried when she opened it!

I regard the rifles as functional works of art, much like Purdeys are for bespoke shotguns. Mike and everyone at TacOPs are consummate professionals, but also great people. He will listen to you and build you what you want and will do it right. I understand he may have some Surgeon actions looking for a project...

Brianf pm me your address you need long straps for the Tac Ops stock pack
I won't be able to sleep well tonight knowing your Velcro is showing like that, I'm having an out of body experience lmfao

Pretty funny...bothers you too lol

I’m a high cheek bone person so it’s padded to the max.

Post the link I’ll buy them.

I have always liked the older Birdsong coating color as displayed in brianf's rifle. Great collection of rifles across the board. When I have some time this weekend, I will have to pull my collection out for a photo.

My last outing, I took the Tango 51 and Sierra 260 with me. Just a great day. Rifles never disappoint. Both are very handy and I am seriously considering using the Tango 51 this year for deer season.

Was in the process of getting one spec'd out and made, then the worlds most boring apocalypse happened and suddenly weird things like car payments and medical Bill's became important again, oh well, I figure two more months of saving and I'll be back to were I was at the start of this and send money out.

P.S sorry MikeRTacops, I've ghosted you for awhile on accident, after I became a single income household I've had to nose to the grind stone at work.

A Tango would be badass for hunting.

If I had more disposable money, I would definitely be getting Mike to build me a Tango for hunting.

Ares64- I wasn't doubting the accuracy of anything TacOps makes and one is a grail rifle for me. I was just saying why they aren't popular for a dedicated FT/R.
I never read what you posted before as doubting the accuracy of Tac Ops rifles, nor do I see anything in my reply as that might cause someone to infer that. Anyway, no harm, no foul. Bygones!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but can you send mike a R700 action for him to build off of or do you just order one of his complete rifles?

the reason I’m asking is I have a factory 700 action that holds some sentimental value and I want to do something special with it.

thanks.

It isn't a dumb question, but the simple answer is an emphatic "NO" . The reason being is that Mike orders his R700 actions, inspects them, and rejects any actions that don't meet his pre-machining approval.

Got it. Makes sense. I remember being drawn to these rifles back in maybe the 2008 time frame. I was just out of college and for some reason became interested in “sniper rifles”. Stumbled across the sniper central website which had a review on Tac Ops rifles. I loved the way they looked but was obviously ignorant as to how special these rifles really were. Maybe some day I’ll be in a position to add one to the collection.

More pics for us dreamers please!!

What is the back story on this little guy?

Charlie 51 take-down platform and switch barrel system...

Edited due to lack of not wearing glasses , thought you meant the black textured stuff lol

Like to thank @MikeRTacOps ...even though I said I’d pay for the large Velcro straps he sent them free of charge against my will.

Hopefully he will sleep better...lol

Your most welcome and most definitely lol

Mike R.

Was TacOps to come out with a hunting rifle at some point...Thought I read that in here awhile back??

When we are not slamming I'd be happy to build whatever you'd like up to a 458 win Mag...

Shoot me a pm and we can speak :)

I'll play this game too. Just got my tac ops can out of jail for my delta 51. Went out the back of the house and was banging steel @150. Wife came out and asked who was shooting cause she heard the impacts but no shot. Mike's rifle +suppressor is lights out! No surgeon action but the surgeon dbm with Mike's touch, geissele 700 trigger & pmii is tits! And while we're at it let's talk about customer service. What other builder will call you back @10pm to answer your stupid question or text you a Pic of your build?
