Was about to grab up one of these. NVision Unfilmed WP L-3 ITT Tube, haven't decided between Zone 3 Blem'd or No blem as it'll be my first unit I wouldn't want to end up damaging a perfect tube. Going the 14 route so I can detach for other uses and eventually will get a 2nd tube for "binos" and so that I can share among friends who don't have NV. I looked around but couldn't find anyone on here running them. If you have any input on these specific units please tell. Thanks

It's described as "a large blemish in Zone 3". If I couldn't see it before purchase, I'd be concerned. The savings would have to be really large and I'm not sure that's the case here. Just my opinion. I've noticed that once I notice even a small blemish, I seem to see it often.

one in this thread

I ended up buying the PVS-14 in that thread from the original buyer and thread starter. It does have a large zone 3 blem, but it does not bother me in use. I only see it occasionally or when I look for it. Being in zone 3 it is not really in your field of view. It did come with a manual gain control.

I would not hesitate to purchase a new one from N-Vision as I think the savings are worth it, especially if you can pick a tube with high specs as the original buyer did. Although you might not be able to do so now.

You sound quite happy with the purchase. I've never seen someone not smile through NV. I just was worried about the quality as reviews were sparse. How are yours holding up?

What exactly does the 10yr warranty cover? Do you happen to know, I am awaiting a response form guys at NVision.

Not 100% sure. I would call and ask them. I talked to them one time and they were very helpful.

I am not even sure if it is transferable. I probably need to call them myself.

I have a couple of these. The zone 3 blems don’t bother me and they’re both located in the same area of the tube so it’s not bad running them as duals. Everyone’s different so some might hate it.

They can be a great deal if you get one with good specs. I don’t know if they let you pick them anymore but it’s worth asking. Most of the guys who’ve gotten them have received very good specs.

I would recommend getting the 72 line pair option as those seem to be really good. At $3,300 vs near or over $4k, it’s a pretty hefty savings that can go towards an IR laser, helmet, etc.

Worst case if you don’t like it and especially in this market, you can sell it for pretty close to what you paid for it. I also believe they have a pretty good return policy.
