That video... When that bitch talks about starting from scratch... LOL. I guess she never took a history class.

I actually got to meet A LOT of black Confederates when we were doing N-SSA shoots across the South. They were some of the most hardassed, patriotic, hardworking, and steel-willed family men I have ever met. They came out during celebrations and during the shooting matches wearing full Confederate infantrymen kit, and some had ORIGINAL Enfield and Mississippi rifles passed onto them by their ancestors who lived during these times of trial. Many of them had ancestors who fought in the Civil War and wore the gray uniform proudly during and after the war. During one of the matches, I was conversing with a black Confederate reenactor who wasn't actually shooting on the range line with us but had set up an iced beverage stand at the edge of camp that became a godsend for all of us loading, firing, and keeping score under a blistering South Carolina summer sky and trying to keep the sweat from interfering with our performance. I had been taking a cigarette break and naturally offered him one of my Mavericks. We started talking about the movie Cold Mountain and how the Battle of Petersburg had been portrayed. He said "if they had REALLY wanted to be historically accurate, they wouldn't have had that black Yankee soldier fightin' that Cherokee down in the crater. The black Yankee troops weren't even sent in because Burnside thought they ain't got the grit to carry out the attack. HOWEVER, there had been A LOT of Negro troops in the trenches of them Virginia and North Carolina boys that gotten blow'd up on that morning, and they was madder n' all hell when they finally got the chance to go after them Yanks who rushed right in below them"... He carried an original .56-50 Spencer that had been relined, rechambered, and had the magazine reworked to fire .45 Long Colt. The gun originally belonged to his great-great grandfather who had been a trooper under Mosby's command and captured the Spencer during a raid. After the war, he started his own farm and that Spencer continued to guard the family's property against the Ku Klux Klan that would periodically go around terrorizing folks. The gun had been converted by a local custom gunsmith in the 1970s or so because .56-50 cartridges could not be found anymore but they still wanted to keep the old warhorse running...... That day had been an AWESOME day and that is the kind of shit that makes being an American and being a Southerner especially, proud of. I am not a Southerner but my spirit is practically rooted there, no matter where I am physically present at.

These guys tolerated absolutely NO bullshit from anybody and would have immediately bayoneted one of these BLM or ANTIFA faggots that wanted to stir up shit in their towns. I know many of the guys who are currently protecting their small Southern towns from potential ANTIFA fuckery that may arise on July 4th, and many of these guys are black Confederate supporters and proudly fly the Stars and Bars...

What we called a Donkey Dick, was a 20 ft length of 11 mm or 9 mm black or green rope, either hawser laid or kernmantle (ifyou could get it), laid in tight loops and wrapped for a total length of about 16-18 inches. It hung from a single steel carabiner, at the left shoulder strap on your LBE. When needed, it was unwound and made into a Swiss seat for a quick rappel off steep ground or a helicopter.

My official N-SSA days were roughly 10 months as an unassigned, when I was working and living in the deep south region, then a group of local living history reenactors and gun guys that I fell in with decided to form our own unit, the Frontier Organization of the Texas State Guard. I was with them for over a year until my father's first cancer diagnosis made me head back to New York. The other members are with different units now. From then, I mainly shot in more local events hosted by various shooting clubs up and down the coast while also working on gunsmithing projects. Been thinking about getting fully back into the skirmishing world and from what I have heard from those who I kept in contact with, COVID has dealt the Civil War reenacting/skirmishing scene a blow to the jaw this year, and while the sport is going to survive, it is seeing decreased membership. And on top of all this, now we are dealing with Confederate monuments and landmarks being destroyed.

Was just "joking" with one of my buddies from that time that the NEXT skirmish we take part in is going to be real... And it is not going to be "brother versus brother", as the War Between the States had been... I don't consider ANTIFA/DSA even human...
