Just got one of my barrels back from straight jacket armory. I order 2 bartlein MTU’s. Barrel measures 1.050 at the muzzle anybody else see a bartlein that’s that beefy at the muzzle???

Maybe just cut back a few inches from the muzzle. They can only cut so much off the tenon before they need to cut back the muzzle. At that point you get a fatter muzzle or re-contour the entire blank. It's general practice that you get some variation as you ask for much shorter than 24/26”.

Good chance it started as a 30" blank.
Have you called straight jacket and asked them? Maybe they didn't see the need to re-contour when it's only .075 difference.
At the end of the day I wouldn't be worried about 1/16", but only you can decide if you're happy.

Have a few Bartleins finished 30 inchers at 1.125 and a HH 30 incher at 1.05. FYI mine were ordered as such.
I start out at 1.350 for 5 inches and straight taper to 1.125 over 30 inches. I like a light taper. Always thought about a straight 1.350 or 1.250.
