Rifle Scopes How much rifle cant(with a level scope) is too much?

Hopefully someone better at math than I can answer this. I’ve heard @lowlight throw out some numbers before but I can’t remember what they are.

Setting up a Cadex chassis and the more I cant it toward me the better it fits. What’s the max cant I would want to level the scope to or does it matter? I’ve always leveled my scope with some cant but never with so much you can clearly see it when the rifle is sitting on target.

Would a lot of built in cant make a slightly out-of-level shot worse than it would be if the scope started level to the rifle? I’m picturing the more cant there is the more the scope moves from directly over the bore but with an out of level shot it’s moving the same amount no matter where it starts. Right? @Rocketmandb @lowlight

As long as the scope is level does it make any difference where the rifle is. The barrel is round tube, I don’t think the bullet knows the difference so in my untrained opinion it shouldn’t matter.

Can't of Rifleman zero different so long as it's 100% repeatable. How to adjust a minor modification to the butt plate so you can can't the butt plate keeping the chassis on the same plane as your scope

I Can't see the Cant of the rifle causing any issues as long as there isn't any Cant to the scope cross hairs it Can't cause any issues that Can't be overcome with some windage and elevation!!! The Cant Can't hold you back😁
