Night Vision Rechargeable CR123 batteries for Halo LR

I've used the brand Surefire sells on their site for everything I own with success.
But it's the only rechargeable 123 I've used, possible there are better ones.
They hold a charge stored very well and have a great life.

I don't own one sorry.
It does seem that rechargeable batteries vs. high dollar widgets has a lot to do with voltage from the batteries and the start-up surge.
If you called Surefire I'd wager they could give you some information about this.

High voltage and startup surge are always a consideration but in the case of Halo-LR and rechargeable battery compatibility, it has more to do with mechanical details. Halo's electronics is designed to work with rechargeables. Some/many rechargeable batteries do not have positive contacts that stick out far enough. As a result, there is no connection or poor connection inside the battery compartment.

Not trying to start anything, but even Flir pulled it off on the PTS Thermosight line that mechanically and electronically work very well with rechargeable RCR 123's as does the Flir Breach.

In today's world, I think any thermal manufacturer is well advised to make there Thermal Devices rechargeable RCR 123 battery friendly. To me and possibly others, it is definitely one of the serious considerations when deciding what to purchase.
