Why only one dimple for gas block alignment?

I just received a 10.5” .223 Wylde barrel from Craddock Precision along with their gas block and gas tube. Looking at it I noticed that there is only one dimple machined opposite the gas port for gas block alignment. Curious, I pulled the gas block from a PSA upper that I bought already assembled, and sure enough, only one dimple on that barrel also. Why don’t they drill two reliefs to receive the two set screws on the gas block? It would seem that there would be potential to put a stress point in the metal that could affect accuracy, but I really don’t know. Granted, this is for a close quarters out to maybe 400 yard rifle. I’m not attempting to shoot 1/2” groups with it, so it likely doesn’t matter.

Only one is necessary, and by only having one dimple, gas blocks can have any set screw spacing and still fit.
Yeah, I didn’t think about different set screw spacing. That makes sense.

Everyone of mine has 2. I've seen some of the lower end companies not even dimple, they just tighten and loc-tite the set screws.
I know Ballistic Advantage will dimple 2 if you get a gas block with it.

But definitely the set screw spacing. So you can use what you want and dimple the second.
