Looking at either a Tikka T3X Lite Veil or a Savage 110 Ultralite with the PR barrel. Im going to get a 300wsm just not sure on the rifles. My real only concern is accuracy. What way would you guys go?

The Savage rifles have a reputation for being decent to good shooting rifles.
But the Tikka is a more quality action w/ great aftermarket support.

I’d say they will both make you happy in the accuracy department, pick the one that appeals to your eyeballs/wallet & jump.

Plus side to the savage, you’ll get a free gunsmithing internship with the rifle.
This ^^^^^^^^
I had a couple of Savages, now I only own Tikkas. The fit and finish on the Tikka is much better, and the magazines actually work. One of my Savage rifles had the pre-mounted scope rail screws cross threaded. The removable magazine would eject the round out of the receiver when sliding the bolt forward to load. They had to send me 2 different magazines before I got one that worked. The other Savage was a tactical model and the magpul magazine was supposed to hold 10 rounds, but wouldn't pick up the last 4.

I own a Savage 110 tactical and never regretted it. I love the Accu-stock and the trigger. Over 500 rounds through it now. It takes a beating and still keeps shooting sub-MOA with cheap ammo. The Tikka is a nice rifle though. If you are looking for a pretty gun, buy the Tikka. For a workhorse gun, buy the Savage.

Bergaras are also very nice.
I don't believe they carry anything in 300 WSM do they?

The ones I'm looking at are identical in price why I was asking the question.

I own a Savage and have shot a couple Tikkas. Both will shoot pretty well. Notes:

- The AccuTrigger on the Savage has a fair amount of play. The Tikkas I shot broke cleaner. I put a Timney replacement in my Savage and now it is acceptable, but can never be "good." If you want, you can drop a Bix in the Tikka.

- Tikkas are better made. Savages are like driving an old Chevy, while Tikkas are closer to a modern car. Both will get you from point A to point B, but expect a few shakes and shimmies out of the Chevy along the way.

- If you decide to sell later, the Tikka will sell more readily.

- You have more upgrade options with the Tikka (like a Bix trigger).

I'm eyeing the Lite Veil Wideland as well. I can get them for $1,1000. The thing just looks so sexy with the fluted bolt, half fluted barrel, cerakote and brake. I wish it was cheaper with no brake, not a fan on a .308 gun. I'm between it and the T3x Superlite for $900 and spraypainting it. The problem at the end of the day is you have a Tikka stock, but I'm mentally trying to force myself to be ok with that and not drop $650 on a Mesa/AG/McMillan.
