Im using 6.5 prc 143 grain eld-x and i cannot find data for using magpro powder. Ive seen that one person on here was using it for 147 grain at 59 grains. How many grains should i use for 143 grain?

Have you looked at the Western Powder website? They have legitimate data for the 147, which should be close, and it's not some random person on the internet.

You might get more info if you edit and add the caliber and bullet into your title.

I don’t have your answer, not having loaded for this round, but if 59 grains was good for 147s, you might drop down a couple grains and work up to 62 or so by .5 increments. It’s fairly typical that you can use more powder for a lighter bullet in the same cartridge, but you do not know exactly where the person using 59 grains was regarding pressure. Nor what brass, etc.

Do you have a picture of the data for the 147 in a 6.5 PRC? I just looked for the OP and cannot find any data for the 6.5 PRC. Maybe I missed it.

If you go to your first post and look down at the bottom of it on the left, just to the right of the Report button, there are three dots with a drip down arrow. Click on that and choose Edit, you can then edit anything in that post, including the title. 😉

There’s data on the Accurate site for Magpro, just the data for the 147. The difference between the 143 & the 147 is about
3 %. As a rule of thumb always go up to the next heavier bullet.
