I didn't realize that Barnes was in trouble. At least they got picked up by a seemingly solid company rather than just being shut down completely. Best of luck to them all in the future.

From the article, it seemed the only problem that Barnes had was that it was in the Remington group of companies. And Remington is Ch11 and being split up and sold to the four corners of the country.

I read the story but still not clear-- At some points it said that they acquired Barnes.... and at another point it said they acquired "certain assets relating to the Barnes Bullets brand of specialty hunting bullets."

Either way it doesn't appear good to me- I realize that was a financial story- but all it was about was future profit, didn't seem like making a better product was the aim. It looks like Barnes just went from one money grubbing group to a different (but better run) money grubbing group?

Hopefully the 140 match burners stick around.... but it looks like the days of buying the 500 bullet box for $99.95 are gone.

This helps explain the lack of availability of some of the Barnes bullets lately. Hope things improve in the future.
I guess if Slow-Joe gets elected we may not have to worry about buying bullets anymore. They will be unlawful to own, possess, or even think about.
