Maggie’s What's Your View II

My backyard, a portion and the neighboring field, as I humbly accepted a #drop_your_age_challenge from Facebook by a 20-something. I feel like I am finally starting to look my age so actually put on makeup, which made my daughter cry (🤦🏻‍♀️).

Next view will be either a wine glass or coffee cup. Undecided. First, a sandwich. The hay bales look like cinnamon rolls and it made me hungry 🤣

Got a call on my way to pick my kid up at school that my LGS had SR primers.
its just a few blocks away, so ran by.
this was in the parking lot.
Had the same signs in the same Walmart mailbox letters on each front fender right over the wheel wells.

My wife has written several books on these guys and knows a ton about most animals.

She's like a walking textbook.View attachment 7435490
I have worn out several barrels shooting skippy over the last 40 years. Best story I can tell is being the "good dad" as a chaperon on a field trip with my 6 year old daughter to the zoo many years ago. Was put in charge of her and several friends to make the rounds of all the wonderful animals of the zoo. Got to the area where the prairie dog display/town was at the zoo (20 or so live critters) and all my beautiful innocent daughter could say was: dad, aren't those the things you blow up?!! Move along girls, nothing to see here... I was considered a very sick person by all the mothers that overheard that convo for the rest of the day.
Still shoot those fuckers today...

Temp tag, standard white paint, the neat way the stickers are applied.......almost looks like its a leased campaign vehicle.

Your typical libtard has to "pollute" their car with a half dozen or more stickers professing their opinions and support.

It kind of irks me that they never get the stickers on level either.

Its close, like they tried to make them level or placed them in such a way as to be logical, like centered on features or something, but they are just too tarded and cant get the shit "right".

The picture from yesterday is from the Kansas national guard museum have 2 more but for some reason it wont upload says file is to big.

I had the same issue and had to crop a couple images to get them to upload.

Thinking maybe the maximum size for image files was reduced recently.

Looks like they got their stimulus check.

@Geno C. and @LaraCroft
It has been a 7 month by guess and by gum adventure. Started with an ECM update which eventually led to turbo loss. They have replaced the intake, injectors, DPF, EGR, and now the turbo and related components. It has also underwent multiple “custom” tunes from Chrysler as they apparently have an engineer team assisting the dealership. Filed two complaints with Chrysler Corporation since April and recently got the attention of Rams Head of Advertising with a snarky comment on his LinkedIn page since I was told by the case manager she couldn’t connect me to any higher ups.

7 months/took it in in March/Cab off/up in the air ?

Me ? I'd be lawyering up. With punitive damages.

Talked about getting a lawyer with the wife last night.

Cab off is the fastest way to change turbo. Everything else has been repair, test drive and it always fails between 80-100 miles. Long waits on part approval and ship time for parts ordering. Chrysler has also requested a handful of specialty tests which required the results to be sent back to their tech team for analysis. Not an excuse by any means and they have provided a rental the entire time, so I was patient. My patience ran out yesterday after seeing my old turbo and the techs guess that it wouldn’t be the last issue. Turbo was apparently full of oil when he pulled it out which means cracked turbo housing or cracked piston possibly pushing oil back through intake.

Buddy of mine is a lead mechanic for Toyota. Says they often lift the cabs off if they need to do any serious engine work. Saves quite a lot of time in the long run.

Alledgedly. :)
Considering the turbo is on the firewall side and down some, it made sense to me. Crew cab is held on by 4 bolts and about 5 wire loom connections

No, I get it re; Cab off.

It's the combination of everything that they're going through. If they have to pull the cab to "try" and fix/make it right" with their customer, there are a lot bigger problems going on. If they were truly looking out for their customer(s), they would build a new truck, go through it with a fine tooth comb and exchange your old one for a new one.

I dunno, I think you've been way beyond patient with them. This should have been fixed months ago. It has all the appearance of being unfixable. It is their problem, not your's. Although, via their inability to fix it properly, they've made it your problem.

Couldn’t agree more. I’d even be happy with them taking the headache back and free me up to go buy one. Thinking a nice 1 ton might make me forget my 1/2 ton woes.

@2ndamendfan likes the new ford 6.7L diesel.

Fortunately my Ram has been good (knocking on wood) and the dealership has been good about any issues.

This the 1/2 diesel? Just guessing since it has a turbo.

Yeah the 1/2 ton 3.0 liter turbo diesel setup. Up until the point it went into the shop, it was a great truck. Gas mileage was hovering around 26-28 on long road trips with no load.

Cab removal is ultra common. I have no idea why people get so wound up about it. That is how the vehicle was assembled. There are alot less issues with scratched paint and broken parts doing it that way.

With that, what are the lemon laws in your state. I believe in Utah it is something like this. If the vehicle can not be fixed in 60 days in the first year then the lemon law kicks in. The dealer can appeal if there was a delay in parts or something. Also the 60 days is 60 days in the shop. When I worked at a dealer and we had a problem vehicle we would try and get the customer to take the vehicle while waiting for parts or for the weekend. it doesn't have to be 60 days straight, just 60 days in the shop total for the first year. Next it has to be the same problem. Lets says say you have an oil leak they take 30 days to fix and then you have an ABS issue that takes 35 days to fix.

That doesn't count, two separate issues that were both fixed in under 60 days.

If your primary concern is MPG a 1 ton won't make you happy. Personally MPG is pretty low on my list, I prioritize other things as much much more important, but that is me.

I’m not against cab removal. I think it’s smart and the best way to do it. Sometimes when I’m working on my VW Bug motor, I often question if removing the shell from the pan would be much easier.

Lemon law in NC is it had to be within the original 3yr 36k warranty and have a long term problem like this or return to the shop for 3 consecutive times with the same issue. My truck had 62k on it so the extended warranty is repairing this. At this point, I believe Chrysler is covering all but I could be mistaken on that as well. Right now, I am working to see if Chrysler has a lemon law or some kind of sop for this. If push comes to shove, I will grab a lawyer.

MPG isn’t my main focus point but it is nice. I toy with the 1 ton idea, but hard to justify for me. I only things I ever really pull are a JD 1025R tractor, a JD gator, or the horse trailer with one mangy horse in it. That is the main reason I settled for a 1/2 ton, well that and I don’t like the way the 3/4 tons ride.
