Interesting annealing test.

This wouldn't be difficult to build. It's just a linear actuator with either current or strain guage feedback. We've been doing this kind of stuff in the industrial control/automation world for years.

Saw that earlier. Definitely a measurable difference with the parameters they are using.

But, is it noticeable on chrono and paper?
There’s the real question. Would be interesting to see groups of brass that has a couple fittings on it w/o annealing shot for groups over a chrono, and another set of brass that was loaded at the same time/ powder / bullets conditions with annealed brass and see if there is any real measurable difference

I’ve seen plenty of small batch examples showing it works and also that it doesn’t matter.

Would be interesting to see a test that actually singles out the annealing across several rifles.

Lou Merdica says it does and he’s probably one of the few people who can actually test it. I anneal as I know it doesn’t hurt it. Not a really big industry changing shocker one way or another. Just would be interesting to see the results.
