You might need to re-zero since nothing in the universe is perfectly axial or concentric and the bullet deflects slightly to center itself in the brake as much as it can (the supersonic ground effect results in a projectile deflecting slightly away from walls), but it should only be a couple clicks at the absolute worst case. More than that and you either got very unlucky with tolerance stackup
That said it’s still a good idea to double check that you have bore clearance and won’t get a baffle strike!
Side note - if you don’t have a ~0.2” diametral overlap between the outside of the barrel shoulder and the inside of the threads on the brake, you will need a shouldered adapter not a free-threading one. Otherwise there’s nothing for the threads to push against and the brake is likely to come loose and at best fly off down range.
